Country Inn Bed & Breakfast Day Many of you know I make my living

☆Country Inn Bed & Breakfast Day☆

Many of you know I make my living as a cook at The Manor House, I’ve worked here for a number of years. Situated in rural Leicestershire, a family owned business which became the Manor in 2005, in previous years I’m led to believe this pub had somewhat of a chequered history. Up until 2016, purely a pub, no rooms, but with a redevelopment of the site 8 luxury bedrooms were built, a further 4 more followed 2 years later, along with a function suit The Pavilion, or the Pav as it’s affectionately known. A country inn, you’ll find a wide range of food and drink to suit all palates, most of which are locally sourced. An 80 cover dining room hustles and bustles, I’m pleased to say that business is good following on from the effects of covid and the pandemic. I spend a fair amount of my time in the Pav, catering for functions, buffets, weddings or occasionally afternoon teas. A beautiful space for upto 100 sit down guests, there’s even a croquet lawn and petanque court too. Onto the rooms, luxury is the word, decorated and kept to the highest of standards with everything you’d expect of high end accommodation. When I found myself homeless earlier this summer, luckily I found room at the inn for a few nights. A major part of my job is cooking breakfast, a varied choice available cooked to order. I see it as a vital part of a hotel/B&B stay, there’s every chance that breakfast may well be a guests last impression of the place, I’d hate them to leave hungry or disappointed because of a poor breakfast experience, even if everything that went before was perfect.
