Loukoumades with honey and cinnamon!! Have you ever been to a Greek Fest? This is the best recipe for homemade loukoumades!! with honey

Ingredients for 1 dose
( I am always making double dose)
* 3 cups flour all purpose
* 1 cup warm milk
* 1 cup warm water
* 2 Tb spoons sugar
* 1 teaspoon salt
* 6 Tb spoons oil ( canola or vegetable )
* 2 packets dry yeast

Put the flour and the salt in a big bowl.
Warm the milk , add the sugar and dissolve the yeast on the mixture.
When it is ready add it to the flour .
Add the warm water and the oil . The dough must be fluffy , watery and sticky.
Cover it with a plastic wrap and let it rise for 30mins to 1 hour .
When it is ready pour sunflower or canola oil to a deep pan and turn the heat to medium to hot.
When the oil is hot enough, place your hand in the bowl with the mixture. Grab hold of some of the mixture in your palm and start to close your hand. The dough will start to be squeezed out from between your thumb and index finger. Holding the tablespoon in your other hand, scoop up the dough that has emerged and drop it into the hot oil.Dip the spoon into a glass of oil ( 1/3 of the glass I s fine )next to you after each scoop.Repeat process until there are enough dumplings in the oil but do not overcrowd the pan. Use a slotted spoon to turn them over so they can cook on the other side too.Fry the dumplings for a few minutes until they turn a lovely golden. Remove from pan and set onto plate lined with paper towels. Repeat process with the remaining dough. Add honey and cinnamonloukoumades

  1. I’m going to have to try your recipe! My kids keep asking for loukoumades. I’ve never made them before. We always get them at the church festivals. Can’t wait to try it!
