If you’ve followed me for a while lovelies you’ll know that I bloomin love a good curry, and my absolute ultimate HAS to be a Beef Curry

Something about using Beef just makes the sauce so rich and flavourful, and this one is so incredibly simple to make too – a real winner for the cooler autumnal nights


This recipe serves 4, and works out at 525 calories a portion

2tbsp Olive Oil
1 large Onion – diced
1 thumb sized piece of Ginger – grated
3 cloves Garlic – grated
600g diced braising Steak
2 tsp ground Cumin
2 tsp ground Coriander
1tsp Turmeric
1 tsp dried Red Chilli Flakes
2 tins chopped Tomatoes
3 tbsp natural Yoghurt
2 tsp Garam Masala

Add your oil to an ovenproof pan and gently fry the onions for 5 minutes over a medium heat, or until they’ve softened.

Add in your garlic and ginger and continue to cook for a few minutes, before adding in the beef; cook until all of the meat is seared and browned.

Once the beef is brown, add in your cumin, coriander, turmeric and chilli flakes, then cook for a further minute.

Add the tinned tomatoes and 1/2 tomato can full of water, then Season with salt and pepper and bring to a boil.

Once it’s boiling, pop into the oven with the lid on for 1 hour 45 minutes or unitl the beef is so tender it’s falling apart.

Remove the curry from the oven and stir in the natural yogurt and garam masala, then pop back in for another 15 minutes and then you’re done!

I served mine with some rice (I cheated with one of pouches, which are fab by the way) and some Naan! Just like a hug in a bowl!
